Avon Skin So Soft Facial Hair Remover

Like a lot of girls, I struggle with the problem of unwanted hair. It's natural and I'm not ashamed of it. But I do not like the little blonde hairs that sometimes grow on my face. So... being with Avon, I was excited to see they had a remover.

My rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $7
Of course like everything else on Avon, this goes on sale and is less than $7 but I figured it'd just be easier if I put the regular prices.

Anyway... So I got this and tried it out and it actually works. I don't have to put it on often but when I do I just leave a thick layer, wait three minutes and then wipe it off and it takes the hair right off. I usually wipe my skin down again with water just to make sure it's all off afterwards.

So far it has worked perfectly for me and after removing the hair, I don't need to do it again for at least two weeks. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

Pros:
* Takes hair off with ease
* Does not burn (my) skin
* Doesn't smell too terribly

Cons:
* Sometimes makes my skin feel a little number after (where I applied product)

LA Colors Shimmering Loose Eyeshadow

Found at the dollar store!!!

My rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $1

So I found this a while back and I actually really like it. It's glittery eyeshadow that's not bad quality, found at the dollar store!

Now, I haven't tried a lot of makeup at the dollar store because it doesn't look that good of quality but one day I was looking for some glittery stuff to put on my eyes to mix up my look and I found the pink one. I got it home and tried it and actually really liked it. It adds a little bit of color and a lot of shimmery goodness.

Like most girls, I love shiny sparkly things so I really did like how this looked on me. Sometimes I even use it as blush to add a little color to my cheeks as well as some glittery goodness. I also bought the black one which gives you more of a smokey eye look with a tad of glitter but mostly I just use the pink one.

As you can see in the picture ^ it comes with a little brush which is my only complaint about the product. I don't like the brush much cause it has really hard, sharp bristles that don't feel too nice against your skin but if you tap the container onto the table or your hand you can get some of the loose shadow out and use your own brushes or sponges to apply.

All in all I would recommend this product to someone who wants to put a little shimmer in their makeup look. I might just go to the dollar store and pick me up another color too :)

Pros:
* Good colors
* Glitter stays on all day when used with a primer
* Can go over any eyeshadow and under any eyeliner
* Only a dollar!

Cons:
* Sometimes if you put too much on your brush and try to apply it you will get a little that falls into your cheeks. But it's easy to brush off.

Maybelline Volum' Express Mega Plush Mascara

I like trying these Volum' Express mascaras and trying out all the cool things they are supposed to do. But it sucks when they don't do what they are advertising.

My rating: ★★☆☆☆
Price: $5.94
I don't know why they would say these make your eye lashes feel soft and plush cause they don't. I find the wand to be actually pretty hurtful while applying because although they do seperate the lashes, it's hard to get the mascara on the whole lash. It's hard to get to the root and when you do it kinda scrapes your lid a little and leaves a mark. Luckily I put on thick eyeliner so this doesn't bother me too much but it doesn't feel too pleasant.

I have tried a couple of these Volum' Express mascaras and this is one of my least favorites. There is really nothing special about it and it does not make your lashes soft. I wouldn't suggest wasting your time or money with this one.

Pros:
* Separates lashes

Cons:
* Doesn't make lashes soft
* Want moves weird and is hard to control completely
* Doesn't reach to roots of lashes easily
* Hurts to get the roots of your lashes

Avon Hawaiian Shores Bronzing Petals

Eeeeeeeekkk :)

My rating: ★★★★★
Price: $4-$10

I put that the price is from $4 to $10 because it's always going on sale and is currently on sale for $4. I bought mine a while back for $5 I think but the regular price is $10.

Anyway, I don't usually use tanning lotions or bronzers but I find that this is a really nice bronzer to contour your face with. I like to use it when I'm going out on a fancy date with the boyfriend or going out to the bar for a fun time with friends. Pretty much anytime you would be dressing up. If you are the kinda girl who goes all out on makeup when doing so. (Like me :])

I really don't have any complaints with it besides maybe the price and the fact that you can only get it through Avon. Of course I have never tried any other bronzer so this might have a dupe out there in any drug store.

Pros:
* Goes on skin nicely in layers (So it shouldn't be too dark the first time you apply it)
* Stays on all night/day
* Nice color (I have super pale skin and it's not too dark for me)

Cons:
* Have to buy through Avon
* Kinda spendy

Sally Girl Eyeshadow Compacts

Found at Sally Stores only.

My rating: ★★★★★
Price: $.99

I have just recently tried these and I really do like them. They're really small but they go a long ways! I bought a beige colored one (cause I love using skin colored eye shadows for some reason), a green one and a brighter blue one than this one. So far I really like them. The color comes out the way its shown and they last on your eyes all day. I just saw this when I was looking up this picture but I guess they can snap together too so you can make your own eyeshadow pallet. Which I found pretty cool! You should definitely check them out!

Pros:
* Good colors
* Great quality
* Lasts all day
* Small and easy to travel with
* Decently priced

Cons:
* Doesn't come with a brush or sponge for application
* Only at Sally's Beauty Supply

Wet n Wild Coverall Stick

Another good Wet n Wild product!

My rating: ★★★★★
Price: $1.99 (Walgreens)
Up until really recently I haven't really known about these concealer sticks. I have seen vlogs about makeup and they use things like this sometimes but I had never personally tried them. I figured my liquid foundation and my powdered foundation were good enough. But honestly this little guy changed the way I do makeup!

I have pretty thin skin under my eyes so you can see two very dark veins run under them, as well as on my eyelids themselves. It's really annoying and a thing I hate about my face. But what I do is I take my liquid foundation and put it on and then go over that with this little stick and blend it in. And let me tell you it makes such a drastic difference! I don't think I'll ever go without this again!

Since I've been out of primer lately what I do is after I put this on my eyelids I put on my eyeshadow and then my powder foundation over the rest of my face. It helps the eyeshadow stay on cause the Coverall stick is kind of sticky and just makes the whole look come together.

I really do recommend this product to people who have blemishes or veins like me. It really does help a lot! And not terribly priced either! I have had mine for about two months and I am just running out too so it really does go a long ways.

Pros:
* Great coverage
* Decently priced
* Can be used as a primer
* Small and compact

Liquid Eyeliner Blues

Ok so this isn't a picture of me ^ but I was getting tired of not finding what I was looking for and decided to go with this. Basically I just put this on here to show you how I use my eyeliner every single day for the last five years. That's a lot of eyeliner if you think about it so you can see why I'm so picky about my liquid eyeliner.

As I have said in my last post the Eyeko eyeliner is amazing and I don't have any complaints other than the price. But I cannot afford that right now so I've been searching for a cheaper replacement. And so far I've gotten close but not exactly what I wanted.

Let's start with felt pen liquid eyeliners... (WARNING this is going to be a long one)

Stroke of Gorgeous (Hard Candy)
My rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $5
If I were to chose one of the many I've tried to replace my Eyeko, I would definitely pick this one. I haven't used a lot of Hard Candy makeup but this eyeliner pen is really good. It applies on dark and doesn't leave much of a glossy shine. Although it is kind of hard to control sometimes and I don't feel like it will last me that long. I have only been using it for a couple days though so we shall see what it gives me in the future. However it isn't something I'm too terribly excited for. But wayyyyyyyy better than all the rest I will be reviewing.

Pros:
* Applies dark
* No hard or harsh edges on pen
* Easy to wash off

Cons:
* Hard to control sometimes
* Leaves a little shine when dry

Mega Eyes Defining Marker (Wet n Wild)
My rating: ☆☆☆☆☆
Price: $3.99
As you have already figured out, I'm a big fan of Wet n Wild products. But I've got to say this eyeliner was a HUGE disappointment.

First off, the eyeliner it self doesn't seem to be good quality to begin with. When you glide it on it's really watery and translucent which I do not like in an eyeliner. Because it's so light and watery, you tend to try and put more and more layers on top of it so it comes out as a solid black, but end up regretting it after a couple minutes go by and your eyelids begin to get sore. The tip of the pen is kind of hard and sharp and I have scraped my eyes a lot with them. Hurts a bit and probably isn't great for your eyes. So I stopped using this.

Cons:
* Sharp edges
* Watery contents
* Hard to guide in the right place
* Too expensive for what it is
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Master Duo Liquid Eyeliner (Maybelline)
My rating: ☆☆☆☆☆
Price: $6.94
By the time I bought this I had already gotten a couple failed eyeliners and was at my last nerve. Seven dollars a piece really isn't cheap when you have to keep buying things that don't work. Which is what I had to do again after getting this one.

This eyeliner was kind of like the Mega Eyes by Wet n Wild but not sharp. The wand is actually really soft and flexible which I found to be the most annoying quality it had. There is a little ball at the tip that is supposed to make it easier to make smaller lines but I found it annoying and bothersome. The lines came out in messes, it was hard to control and the liner was watered down and hard to layer. I definitely will not be repurchasing this product!

Cons:
* Hard to control
* Watered down
* Too soft
* Too much money for what it is
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner (Wet n Wild)
My rating: ★★☆☆☆
Price: $3.99
Now a long time ago I used to use Wet n Wild liquid eyeliner and I loved it. But recently I have bought this twice and it has disappointed me every time! This last time I bought it I was even more frustrated since I knew that they had had a good one at one time and I just didn't know if I was getting the same one or missing something.

What I didn't like about this liner is that it's a brush and not a pen tip so it's harder to control. Don't get me wrong, I do like brush tips sometimes but this one was too long and was hard to maneuver. But what really made me hate this eyeliner is that (I don't know how) but it would get little dots of eyeliner all over my face, ears, neck and chest and the damn things would not come off for ANYTHING! I literally scrubbed them with soap and water and even sanitizers vigorously and yet there would still be little dots all over my body. It pissed me off cause it was a good eyeliner other than that. But that was way too much trouble to keep using the product.

Pros:
* Goes on dark

Cons:
* Hard to control with the long brush
* Black dots of evil get all over your skin
* Really hard to wash off
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Black Heart liquid eyeliner (Hot Topic)
My rating: ★★★☆☆
Price: $2.50-$5
Now, I got this with my Black Heart primer so I only paid about $2.50 for it (which wasn't too bad) but I honestly should have bought another primer instead of this.

It's not that bad of a liner though. It goes on dark so you don't have to do more than one layer, its pretty easy to control on your eyes but not the best at control. It's got a little bit of green glitter in it but you can't really see it unless you're under a certain lighting and really look for it. It dries pretty fast and doesn't shine. However there is one thing I didn't like about it and that was by the end of the day I noticed that it was starting to crack and come off. Of course that's the main reason I don't really use it anymore but that might just be because I have pretty oily skin. Although it is a good eyeliner for a couple hours, I probably won't be repurchasing it to use as an everyday liner.

Pros:
* Goes on dark
* A tiny bit glittery
* Easy to apply

Cons:
* Cracks after a couple hours (sometimes sooner)
* Only at Hot Topic
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Starry Eyeliner Gel
My rating: ★☆☆☆☆
Price: $7.70?
I'm not quite sure where you find this or how much it costs but Google said you can get it on like ebay and amazon for about $7.70. I however got mine from my work for only about $2.50. And even that wasn't worth it.

I had never used gel before this and don't really have an interest in doing it again. My friend told me that she uses a gel from the makeup company she advertises for and she loves it so I thought, how different could they be? I should have known things like this could be different seeing as I have gone through so many liquid liners. And I really should have taken the picture on this package into account before purchasing this product.

It's basically what you see in the picture... kind of a mess. I like dark matte eyeliner that is clean and neat. This is none of those. This eyeliner is a mess. It smudges, doesn't dry fast/ever, is hard to apply in clean neat lines and has a glossy finish. I have only applied this once and had to take it off a few minutes later cause it smudged all over the place. I do not recommend buying it!

Pros:
* It's dark

Cons:
* Smudges and smears
* Never dries
* Glossy finish
* Runs into the lines of your skin
* Hard to apply
* Hard to get off

I think that's the end of my eyeliner blog. I thought I had more but I guess not. Maybe they're hiding in the bottom of my bag lol. Thank you for taking the time to read this review :)

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner Pen (Sephora)

Most. Amazing. Eyeliner!

My rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $16
So this is probably one of the best liquid eyeliners I've ever used in my life and I want another one soooooooo bad but um... WAY out of my price range for eyeliner.

I have never really used expensive brands or anything so when my boyfriend's mom gave me this I was excited to see if it was really worth all the money. And I'd say it is but I really cannot justify spending that much money on my part time salary.

I loved this pen because well I use a LOT of liquid eyeliner (being as I wear the 'winged cat eye' look every day. But with this pen it was super easy to glide over my eyelid without getting it all over the place and making too thick of lines. Even today my Eyeko pen is running on fumes and isn't dark anymore but I use it as a guide for my other eyeliner so that I can get it perfectly one. Kinda like an outline.

When this pen still had eyeliner in it though it would glide on easy, make dark lines and not leave a shiny finish on my eyes. That is really important to me. I like having a matte finish with my eyeliner so it does not take away from the shadow. Also I love having dark eyeliner on my eyes so it worked perfectly for me.

The pen can make all sorts of thicknesses and shapes too. Just use it as you would if you were using a marker on your face and it will work perfectly.

I really miss this little guy and someday I will get another one. But right now, it is just not in my budget.

Pros:
* Glides on gently and with ease
* No sharp edges
* Creates dark lines
* No mess!
* Lasts a long time (even with heavy use)
* Easy to wash off

Cons:
* Expensive
* Cannot buy at a drug store (as far as I know)

Avon Infinitize Mascara

Being in Avon does has its perks. I saw this little guy before it came out and was super excited to get my hands on it. I mean, look at the brush! It's incredible! I showed everyone I knew and posted it on facebook and urged people to try it with me. And I did get two people to buy it. But sadly, it didn't preform as well as I had hoped it would.

My rating: ★★★☆☆
Price: $8

I mean look at that brush! Its awesome!

I reused this today because I couldn't remember everything I liked/didn't like about it and actually changed my mind about the rating. I was going to give it two stars but it actually isn't that bad of a mascara.

It does a good job spreading apart your lashes and making them full as well as curling them. I don't curl my lashes so this mascara does a good job giving them a little lift and making them longer as well. I love having bold lashes and this definitely does the trick.

However there are some bad things about this mascara that have prevented me from using it on a daily basis or at all really. I'm going to regret putting this on today when I try to take it off tonight. I always have a hard time taking it off with just soap and water.

Also because the brush has so many teeth on it that are different sizes, I have noticed that it is kind of hard to get it close to your lash line. I often have to move the wand around to get into the right position and reach every  part of my lashes. But that isn't the problem. The problem is that when I do get to the lash line, I often feel a scraping and it hurts to get close to the root of my lashes. This is do not like.

I also noticed that you have to be really careful when getting the lower lashes. I brushed the wand over them normally with the tip of the wand and ended up making them really long and dark. Some people might like this look but I however look like a porcelain doll right now. Not the worst thing ever but not what I was going for.

All in all this is an ok mascara to use once in a while but I personally wouldn't use it every day. But my grandma said she uses it every day and she loves it. She's more of a conservative makeup user too so maybe we just apply it differently. I won't be repurchasing it but it might be just what you're looking for! :)

Pros:
* Curls and thickens lashes
* Lasts all day/waterproof
* Doesn't clump

Cons:
* Wand can be scratchy and unpleasant
* Hard to get off
* Hard to control amount applied on lashes (for me at least)
* Made my lashes fall out if used more than once
* Clumps if used more than once

I do remember one more thing. Since it is so hard to get off, sometimes if you use it again the day after you use it the first time and there is still residue of the day before on there, it will start to clump together and you will look like you have fewer lashes. I hated this about this mascara and decided only to use it on special occasions or when I wanted a lift. Not recommended for everyday use.

L'oreal Studio Secrets Perfecting Base vs. Blackheart Beauty Primer

It's prime time haha

My rating: ★★☆☆☆
Price: $10.97
Until semi-recently I had no idea about primers. As a teenager and up till last year I used to use a lot of really bright colors. I usually spent a while layering my colors to get them to the vibrancy I wanted. If I had known about primers back then, I would have saved so much on makeup!

But my friend who does makeup as a hobby told me about this primer (or one similar) and I decided to give it a shot. The one she told me to get was white but I couldn't find it, and assumed this one was the same. It isn't.

And honestly I'm not even 100% sure I was using this product right but basically I put a small layer on top of my lashes and it seemed to make my powder eyeshadow last longer and get brighter. However I did notice that I had to use barely any of the product or else nothing would stick on it. Odd sounding, I know.

So it's basically a paste in balm form and you just gently dip your finger in it and glide it on. And it did work a little bit. I liked it and used it every day... till I got my newest one and realized this product wasn't that great at all. Maybe because this one is clear and kind of has a pink tint to it vs the white one my friend told me to get? I don't know. But I do know that it is way to expensive for what it does.

Pros:
* If you like a suddle color on your eyes, this would work for you

Cons:
* Doesn't really bring out the true color of your eyeshadow
* Changed the color of some eyeshadows (my green ones)
* Overpriced
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My rating: ★★★★★
Price: $2.50-5.00

Now I found this at Hot Topic in their two for five section. I bought this and their eyeliner with my $5 and left a happy person. But if I had known what a great product this was, I would have gotten two!

First off, the packaging on the bottle is kind of cool. I love how the black fades onto the glass yet you can still see the product itself. The liquid is white and is applied with a wand. It's thicker than water but sticky so it lasts a while. I got this probably three months ago at least and I have just ran out of it.

Now, I love this primer because even though it is white, it applies on clear so that you don't have to make sure all of it is hidden. (If you are like me your primer can get out of the area you usually put your eyeshadow and that can look kind of weird.) But this is clear so you don't even notice.

It does feel sticky but as soon as you apply the eyeshadow on top, it smooths right out. The colors come out exactly the way they are on your pallets and last all day. It's definitely safe to say that I will be getting this again as soon as I can! Even if I have to pay five dollars for just one of them!

Pros:
* Lasts a long time (a little goes a long way)
* Easy to apply
* Great price
* Makes colors more vibrant and to their full potential
* Easy to blend on top of
* Nice glass packaging

Cons:
* Only found at Hot Topic (as far as I know)

Avon Eyebrow Pencil vs. Wet n Wild pencils (Coloricon)

Because I dye my hair all the time, I like to color in my eyebrows. Right now I have redish hair and my natural color is like a dirty dark blond so my eyebrows are kind of ugly and stick out. I've found that I like the way they look when they're dark brown so I've been coloring them for quite a while now. I love them!

My rating: ★★★☆☆
Price: $2.99 (cost changes frequently)
My review is on the actual pencil Avon has but I have also used this one ^ with the brush and they're about the same.

Now being as I sell Avon, I wanted to support the brand and use their products. However, some of their stuff is at amazing deals and some (like the pencils) are usually overpriced. Now the prices are constantly changing but usually I find them too expensive.

They are amazing quality pencils and go on nicely. They don't leave a thick globby mess on your eyebrows or eyes but I have noticed that they don't last long either. They're not a full sized pencil and you have to sharpen them every time you have to use them. So if you are a heavy user like me, they don't last long at all.

And to me that just wasn't worth the price. The brush did come in handy though sometimes. But a q-tip can do the same thing.

Pros:
* Easy and nice to use
* Good colors

Cons:
* Doesn't last long
* Constantly have to sharpen
* Too pricy for me
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now this product gets me excited :)

My rating: ★★★★★
Price: $.93
So this pencil is amazing! I've been using these since I was fifteen because you can find them at Walmart and Walgreens for less than a dollar and they are worth the money. When I was younger I used to use only pencils and so these were amazing!

They come in a variety of colors including blues and purples and white. The eyeliner its self is soft and glides on easily. You get a lot of product for your money and it doesn't fade off during the day. I only have to sharpen it maybe once every three days which is good for a heavy user like me!

Because I don't have to sharpen it so much and it is a full sized pencil, I find that I only have to replace it once every couple months and that is great! These are my go-to pencils and I don't think you will be disappointed! :)

Pros:
* Get a lot for your money
* Don't have to sharpen as much
* Great colors
* Such a great price

Cons:
* Sometimes feels sticky or thick (depending on use)

***Just a little tip. I tend to use a lot to cover my brows (the bald parts in my brows sometimes get difficult) so after they feel thick and sticky. But I just brush a little powdered foundation over the top and that takes away the sticky thick feeling and my eyebrows are able to move and feel like they had before. Also tames down the color and makes them blend more and look more natural.

Absolute Makeup Clensing Tissue/ Kirkland Brand Facial Wipes

So I guess this is more makeup type stuff than what I've been posting the last few posts....

My rating: ★☆☆☆☆
Price: $6.99

You can find these little babies at Walgreen's for $6.99 but I wouldn't even look if I were you. The only reason I got them is because sometimes when I'm taking my makeup off with soap and water and a washcloth, my face gets raw and sore and hurts for a while. So of course I'm intrigued by the thought of a wipe getting my makeup off fast and easy. And a long time ago I found the perfect ones, but I don't remember what brand or anything.

Honestly I think they are all over priced (makeup wipes) but decided to get these when I saw them at my work for like three bucks. So I did and that night I tried them out. Four wipes later my makeup finally came off. This was ridiculous! There are only like 30 in the package and there is no reason that I couldn't take all my makeup off with just one wipe. But it didn't happen. I scrubbed and scrubbed at my skin and it went raw too but with soap greased onto it.

They are a complete waste of time and do not take off makeup well at all. Which is what they're made to do! I was frustrated but at least I didn't have to pay full price!!!

Pros:
* Smells nice

Cons:
* Does NOT remove makeup easily
* Leaves skin greasy
* Not well priced IMO
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have also tried the Costco brand (Kirkland) facial wipes as well and was equally disappointed. :(

My rating: ★★☆☆☆
Price: $37.99 (for 150 wipes)
Now these wipes DO take your makeup off with ease (I only used one wipe on both sides) but I found that it left a greasy feel too and no matter how much I washed my face, it didn't leave.

This might sound gross but I usually never wash my face cause it makes me break out, but when I used these I felt like I had to. So of course when I did wash my face, I broke out. Even if I didn't wash my face after using this product, I would break out. Which wasn't fun.

Also a friend (no names) of mine used them and her eye got swollen. Don't know how that happened but every time she would use them it would swell. So that's no bueno.

Pros:
* Buy in bulk
* Removes makeup nicely

Cons:
* Leaves skin greasy
* May cause breakouts or swelling
* Only at Costco

Nail Aid Extreme Steel Hardener

Now back to some more makeup-type stuff.

My rating: ★★☆☆☆
Price: $3.48

Unfortunately this was kind of a disappointment to me. My nails are really oily normally and are soft so nail polish doesn't really stay on my fingers. Also my nails are super unhealthy and are constantly chipping and breaking. They grow fast but are super thin and hurt when they grow.

Working in retail I am always breaking them because of how much I use my hands and how thin they are which hurts of course. So of course when I saw this I wanted to try it. Unfortunately I have to apply four or five coats for it to stay on and get thick enough till they don't break or chip off. Once I have applied a couple coats they last a couple days but never longer than four days.

I probably would repurchase this product again if their other one (thickener) doesn't work.

Pros:
* Hardens nails and prevents chipping
* Dries relatively quickly

Cons:
* Chips off after a couple days
* Takes over three coats to work

Aussie Hair Insurance

Another good product for my unhealthy hair lol

My rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $2.97

Now, I don't have much experience using leave-in conditioners but I do really like this one. It makes my hair soft and less frizzy but I have noticed that I have to use a lot of it in my hair to make it soft enough to my liking. I have been using it off and on though for the last year I think and I just ran out. I haven't been using it every day but I have liked it a lot recently.

Pros:
* Makes hair soft
* Can see a little improvement in my hairs health

Cons:
* Makes hair greasy fast if used on the roots if not washed

L'Oreal Paris Anti-Oxidant Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray

I have colored my hair more times than anyone could possibly count and consequently I have terribly damaged hair. So of course, I'm up for anything that might help it and improve it's health.

My rating: ★★★☆☆
Price: $5.97

 Now I haven't used this too much and my bottle is already almost gone. Which kinda sucks. You have to shake it cause the contents separate (which I don't mind). The liquid sprays out kind of thick and I like to spray it into my hands and spread it into my hair rather than spraying it right onto my hair. It seems to get less greasy that way.

 And I guess it does kind of make the color pop in your hair, but not as much as I expected it to. Although it does make your hair soft and protects against heat. I let my hair air dry today before I applied this product and it was all frizzy. But after applying and then straightening my hair, it is soft and silky with great color.

Pros:
* Makes hair soft
* Protects against heat
* Makes hair look healthy and vibrant

Cons:
* Runs out fast
* Sometimes forget to shake
* Can't spray on roots, makes them greasy

Katy Perry "Meow" (Purrrfume)

Puuurrrrrrr~

Haha. So I have been too poor for perfume my whole life and usually use a body mist from Walmart. But now that I have a job at a retail store, I found this little baby at my work and had to get my hands on it!

My rating: ★★★★★
Price: $20-$40

Now, I put the price from $20 to $40 because I first saw this and fell in love with it at Kohl's for $40, which made me really sad. I loved the way it smelled, love Katy Perry and for God's sake it's in a cat shaped bottle! There was nothing more perfect for me in the world. That is except the price. Way to much even for an impulse shopper like me.

So you can understand my excitement when I saw it at my work for only $19.99! So of course, as soon as I got off work, I picked up the only bottle and jumped for joy! I have never seen another one at my work since.

But now I kinda feel like a fool cause you can get it online for cheaper than Kohl's haha. Anyway...

I am constantly getting compliments on it by my friends, family and even strangers that walk by me. Seriously I have literally had girls and guys stop me and ask what I'm wearing. I will definitely be getting this again when it runs out, even if I have to pay full price!

Pros:
* Smells amazing
* Cute bottle!
* Katy Perry rocks!
* Lasts all day
* Not overwelming
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do want to make a quick note though... Katy Perry also has this perfume and I almost switched the two up. And though they are basically the same design, the smells are completely different and I was not too fond of this one. Meow has a sweet smell where as Purr kind of hard a more harsh and sharp smell that I was not fond of at all.

EOS Shaving Cream (Non- makeup review)

Ok awesome!

At first I was kind of skeptical but I'm really glad I tried it!

My rating: ★★★★☆
Price: $3.48

So (being a chapstick and lip balm hoarder) I of course knew about EOS. But shaving cream?  My boyfriend's mom had used this before I even knew about it and told me that it was worth it for me to try it. I have terribly sensitive legs and get super bad razor burn whenever I shave so I was looking for something new to try out.

This particular shaving cream is actually a cream and not a foam. It's like lotion tectured but thicker. I like how it spreads onto your legs with just the littlest amount. However, I did notice I got less burns when using more. When you use a little you can feel it but it kind of turns transparent. But I like to see it and feel it thick.

The best thing about this shaving cream is that it actually does leave your legs smooth and soft. Since my legs are so terrible with shaving, I often itch for days after even if I put lotion on them. My legs were less itchy and didn't hurt after shaving!

They also advertize that you can either shave wet or dry which is kind of cool. Because it's like a lotion and super hydrating, I can believe that it would work. Though, my legs are so sensitive, I never had the guts to try it.

Pros:
* Leaves legs soft and smooth
* Glides on nicely
* Hydrates skin

Cons:
* Doesn't last all month (for me atleast)

Dollar store shaving gel (non makeup review)

So I know that shaving gel isn't exactly makeup but it's within the beauty limits so I decided to do a review on this too. But just a quicky ;)

My rating: ★☆☆☆☆
Price: $1

I don't know how many times I have purchased this and yet every time I never learn! This stuff straight up stinks!

And I mean that quite literally! Every time I buy shaving cream from the dollar store it smells like cat piss. Now, I have had cats all my life and know quite well what their pee smells like. Yet every time I get this I regret it and kick myself in the ass for not remembering.

It sucks too cause I have tried all different kinds and scents and they all smell terribly! Too bad cause I would save a fortune on shaving cream if I only had to spend a dollar!

Pros:
* Gets the job done
* Cheap

Cons:
* Smells so strong like cat piss

Wet n Wild Mascara(s)

Wet n Wild...Tehe :)

So I have just recently discovered Wet n Wild has mascara and am so glad I did! They have the best inexpensive products out there! (As far as I know)

The first one I bought was the megaimpact as you can see here ^ and I love it!

My rating: ★★★★★
Price: $3.99

Now usually I like to get all the cool different kinds of Volume Express mascaras and try them out, but even at $5.94, I find them a little spendy. So I was looking around and found that Wet n Wild has a small mascara line! I was excited and bought mine for under four bucks at Walmart! How can you beat that?

As you might already guess from the name, this mascara is just supposed to make your lashes pop and fill out nicely and I think it does just that. I already have long eyelashes but when I use this it makes them even longer. What I really love about this mascara is that you can add more layers to make them thick as you go. It doesn't just start off thick and can give you a variety of looks as you want them. I will definitely be repurchasing this little guy in the future.

I also like to use him with their other mascaras to get different looks with my lashes (suchas making them thicker or even longer!)

Pros:
* Makes lashes longer
* Fills lashes with ease
* Comes off easily
* Can be layered
* Affordable!
* Separates lashes
* No clumps!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now this one I like but am not as impressed with it as the last one.

My rating: ★★★☆☆
Price: $3.99

I have only used this one a couple times but so far I think it's ok. I don't use it on it's own though cause it does clump your lashes together a little. I usually use it over a layer of the megaimpact just to thicken them out more and make them look fuller. I probably won't be repurchasing this one though since I never use it alone.

Pros:
* Easy to remove (the non-waterproof one)
* Good for thickening
* Cheap $

Cons:
* Clumps lashes together when used alone
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, my least favorite.

This one, I don't like.

My rating: ★★☆☆☆
Price: $3.99

This one does pretty much the same thing as the megaplump does, but worse. It clumps really easy and I just put it on top of the other two and it made my lashes stick together and turn into five clumps. It might be good for you if you want to have that kind of effect of having only a couple lashes but that's not what I'm going for. Especially on a day to day basis. I will not be repurchasing this product.

Also I noticed that one time after I had been using it for less than a week I pulled out the wand and a big sticky clump of mascara was stuck to the end of the wand.

Pros:
* Covers lashes
* Easy on the wallet

Cons:
* Clumps lashes
* Hard to get off (even with waterproof)
* Clumps in container

But that's all the ones I've tried so far. There is another one that has protein in it I guess to help with the health of your lashes and a couple others for volume and thickness but these are just the basics I tried. They're all the same price and great for the price but not what I'm looking for. Well except for the megaimpact.

Let's start at the base of it all. Haha, get it? :]

Yeah, I think I'm funny lol

Continuing...

My rating: ★★☆☆☆ (see pro's and cons below)
Price: $5.94

So I have always used (or for the last couple years) the same powder foundation. Why? Cause it's cheap and uncomplicated.

Obviously as you can see here ^ I use the Covergirl Clean "Oil control" powder.

Now, I've used the oil control for about a year now and I don't know why I keep buying it. Before I got the oil control I had the green one for sensitive skin and it worked just fine. However my face does get really oily during the day as well as getting flaky at the same time (don't know how) so I decided I would try this product. And I am sadly disappointed.

I just put my makeup on two hours ago and it already is shiny and oily. I'm inside a house and although it's hot outside, it is a good temperature inside. I should not be oily!

While using this product I have noticed that I am getting even more oily during the day than I used to with the sensitive skin product.

I also use the Covergirl Oil control liquid foundation before using this powder and still, feel like a grease ball after only a couple hours of wear.

However, I have not really cared too much considering my skin has always been like this so I'm kind of used to it. Just wanted to write this to tell everyone, it's really no different from their other powdered foundations. It doesn't really "control the oil" like it advertises but hey, everyone's skin's different and I have given them my business regardless. I think the biggest reason I keep buying it is because it's one of the cheapest powders you can find at $5.94. Who can beat that?

I am running out though and will not be repurchasing this product. I do plan on letting you know what I find in the future though that could be a good replacement for this product and will not break the bank in the process.

Pros:
* Good coverage
* Inexpensive

Cons:
* Does NOT control oil
* You run out fast (but that might just be me)

Hello Ladies (my pretend audience since no one will probably even see this blog, ever.)

Welcome to my new makeup blog! :)

Now I just want to start off by saying I am in no way shape or form a professional and I have not gone to school to study makeup or anything like that. This blog is purely from my experiences since I've been experimenting with makeup for the last seven years.

Also I would like to point out that my face is different and my reviews are directed mostly at the way my face takes the makeup and how it works with my body. Results may be different with your body type.

And one last thing, I am writing from a very poor girl's point of view. I have not tried the big expensive fancy brands or anything that didn't come from walmart, walgreens or a target so take that into account as well.

In this blog I will be expressing my feelings as well as reviewing the products I have used or use on a daily basis. I'm not advertizing or trying to sell anyone any products or am I saying that they should not be bought. Just expressing what has worked for me and maybe helping someone else in the process. (Although not likely cause no one will probably be reading this lol)

So there ya go. I hope you learn something :)
